Shelter Lighting Solutions
Illuminating shelters at night increases safety and security for shelter users. Cost prohibitive electrical trenching and complicated logistics makes solar powered shelter lighting the intelligent choice. Choosing a solar option means instant installation, with no disruption and eliminates the cost and delays associated with traditional grid connection.
Solar powered LED shelter lighting systems from Sol give park services, transit authorities, and shelter manufacturers the ability to provide illuminated shelters wherever they are needed, including remote areas that are environmentally sensitive, where conventional electricity may not be available or difficult to access the electrical grid or electricity is unreliable.

Shelter Lighting Case Study
In the fall of 2008, the City of Port St. Lucie, Fl looked to Sol to assist the City Council’s efforts to provide safe and secure bus shelters with lighting for waiting schoolchildren. Recent accidents along bus routes during early hours prompted the City to provide a better and safer waiting experience for children waiting for their buses to get to school. Sol provided 5 Transit Shelter Solar Lights (TSSL) for the newly built bus shelters. The environmentally friendly lighting system improves the safety and comfort of the children during the dark hours of early-dawn and can be used to teach them about renewable energy.
