Victorville, California

In late 2007, Sol was awarded a contract from the City of Victorville, California to supply a solar lighting solution for an exercise track in Hook Park. The city originally considered Sol’s flat mount SL Series. Sol evaluated their lighting requirements and concluded that installing a Greenway™ unit at each exercise station would not only fulfill their illumination requirements, but would also be a more economic approach.

Port St. Lucie, Florida

In the fall of 2008, the City of Port St. Lucie, Fl looked to Sol to assist the City Council’s efforts to provide safe and secure bus shelters with lighting for waiting schoolchildren. Recent accidents along bus routes during early hours prompted the City to provide a better and safer waiting experience for children waiting for their buses to get to school. Sol provided Transit Shelter Solar Lights (TSSL) for the newly built bus shelters.

Boulder, Colorado

In 2004, the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) was looking for a way to retrofit their existing employee parking lot. There was concern over trenching the lot because of sensitive fiber optics below the surface. Sol was able to resolve this concern by installing 30 TPM shoebox solar lighting systems without a connection to conventional power, allowing a safe, secure and worry-free environment for NIST employees.
